EAST LANSING, Mich. (AP) -Michigan State is back at the Final Four again in large part because Durrell Summers has been at the top of his game consistently for a change.
Summers finished with 21 points on 8-of-10 shooting in Sunday’s win over Tennessee.
Coach Tom Izzo says Summers has been “dynamite” and is playing his best basketball because he’s learning how to be focused – much like former Spartan Morris Peterson did later in his college career.
If Summers can keep it up, he will improve Michigan State’s chances of beating Butler on Saturday and the winner of the Duke-West Virginia game for the national championship.
