MANHATTAN, Kan. (AP) -Jacob Pullen watches film by the hour and studies game plans as if he were boning up for final exams.
Sometimes he spots important things about Kansas State’s upcoming opponent even before the coaches.
Last week the junior guard noticed BYU’s top scorer liked to use a crossover dribble in certain situations. Armed with that knowledge, he helped keep Jimmer Fredette in check. Pullen also scored a career-high 34 points to lead the Wildcats to an 84-72 victory and into the round of 16, where they’ll meet Xavier on Thursday night in Salt Lake City.
