SALEM, Va. (AP) -Jared Jenkins scored a game-high 17 points to lift Wisconsin-Stevens Point past Randolph-Macon 72-60 in an NCAA Division III national semifinal on Friday.
The Pointers (28-4) advanced to the national championship game Saturday against Williams College. Williams defeated Guilford College 97-88.
The Pointers are going for their third national championship, having won it in 2004 and 2005.
Wisconsin-Stevens Point jumped out to a 16-3 lead and never trailed, hitting its first six shots and limiting the Yellow Jackets to three field goals in their first 16 attempts.
Randolph-Macon went scoreless during a seven-minute stretch in the first half, as the Pointers built a 22-point lead and led by 19 at the break.
