CHICAGO (AP) – Georgetown point guard Chris Wright is back in the starting lineup for the Hoyas’ game against VCU in the second round of the NCAA tournament.
Wright hasn’t played since breaking his left hand Feb. 23. He has a visible scar on his non-shooting hand, but is not wearing any kind of wrap or protective brace.
The Hoyas have lost four straight and their offense has stagnated without Wright, their second-leading scorer and emotional leader. Wright was averaging 13.1 points and 5.4 assists when he got hurt and leads the team with 41 steals. In the last three games before he broke his hand, he was averaging 21.7 points on 50 percent shooting.
