The NCAA tournament is missing some of its monuments.
North Carolina, Connecticut, Arizona and UCLA didn’t make the 65-team cut, leaving this year’s NCAA tournament without some of its marquee names.
The Final Four in Indianapolis on April 3-5 will also be missing the most recognizable school in the state; the Hoosiers didn’t get an invite, either.
That’s three of the four teams with the most championships all-time – UCLA, Indiana, North Carolina – left out of the field, with only Kentucky, the No.1 seed in the East Regional, getting in.
Parity? Sure, the NCAA tournament should have plenty with these powerhouses out, but it’s almost like going to Mount Rushmore and finding Abraham Lincoln missing.
Kansas, another big name, earned the No. 1 overall seed.
