ATLANTA (AP) -ACC player of the year Ty Lawson sits out his second straight tournament game, watching top-ranked North Carolina face No. 22 Florida State.
The point guard was in uniform again Saturday, wearing the same black, stiff-soled shoe on his right foot to protect his injured toe that he wore Friday during the Virginia Tech game.
Lawson, the Atlantic Coast Conference player of the year, was the Tar Heels' second-leading scorer this season, averaging 15.9 points. He also averaged a team-best 6.5 assists in 29.1 minutes per game.
