LOS ANGELES (AP) -John Wooden's daughter says the former UCLA basketball coach is improving daily and should be leaving the hospital in the next couple of days.
In a statement Friday, Nan Muehlhausen, says her father is doing much better and that an irregular beat discovered a few days ago is under control.
Muehlhausen says Wooden received a visit Friday from Hall of Famer Bill Russell and his wife. Several former players also have visited him in the last few days, including Andy Hill, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and Michael Warren.
The 97-year-old Hall of Fame coach fell at his home Feb. 28, breaking his left wrist and collarbone.
