Mount St. Mary's runs past Quinnipiac in NEC Tournament Print

 EMMITSBURG, Md. (AP) -Jean Cajou scored 20 points to lead Mount St. Mary's to an 80-70 win over Quinnipiac in the quarterfinals of the Northeast Conference tournament on Thursday.
The Mountaineers (16-14) used an early 17-0 run to take control and led 37-33 at the break. Mount St. Mary's pulled away with a 13-0 spurt in the second period.
Jeremy Goode and Kelly Beidler finished with 15 points each for the Mountaineers.
Conference scoring leader DeMario Anderson led Quinnipiac (15-15) with 21 points and seven rebounds. Casey Cosgrove added 12 points for the Bobcats.
The victory was the Mountaineers' first home conference tournament win since 1996.
