COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) – Top-ranked Ohio State and No. 10 Wisconsin are primed for another showdown Sunday, and each side remembers what happened the last time they played.
The Buckeyes and Badgers are saying too much was made of their first meeting this season and all the words and accusations that followed.
Buckeyes coach Thad Matta is advising Ohio State fans to calm down and leave their animosity at home.
But others at Ohio State are sending another message by handing out 1,400 “Deal With It” towels in reference to Wisconsin coach Bo Ryan’s terse advice after his Badgers upset the Buckeyes 71-67 last month in Madison.
Ohio State’s players say they are treating the rematch like just another game – although one in which they have to find a way to prevent Badgers point guard Jordan Taylor from inflicting the damage he did the first time around.
