CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (AP) – Virginia point guard London Perrantes will be evaluated by doctors Monday after his collision with teammate Malcom Brogdon.
Cavaliers coach Tony Bennett says Perrantes wanted to return to Sunday night’s game against Florida State, even though his nose appeared broken. Bennett says Perrantes also will be evaluated for a concussion.
Perrantes was injured while playing defense in the second half of No. 2 Virginia’s 51-41 victory. Both players headed to the locker room. Brogdon returned to the game but Perrantes did not.
The Cavaliers struggled and fell behind after the injuries. But a reverse layup by seldom-used guard Devon Hall gave them back the lead and they rallied for their sixth consecutive victory.
