DAVIDSON, N.C. (AP) -Davidson star guard Stephen Curry returned from his one-game absence with a sprained left ankle and was in the starting lineup Saturday against No. 21 Butler.
The nation’s top scorer badly turned his ankle on a drive a week ago in a win over Furman and sat out Davidson’s loss to The Citadel on Wednesday, the first game the junior missed in his career.
Curry emerged from the locker room about 90 minutes before tipoff with a black and gray brace around his left ankle. He appeared to be moving normally in pregame shooting and stretching drills and was then cleared to play.
Curry entered the made-for-TV nonconference game averaging 29 points.
