BOZEMAN, Mont. (AP) -Carlos Taylor scored 29 points and grabbed seven rebounds to help lead Montana State to a 70-67 victory against Northern Arizona on Thursday night.
Divaldo Mbunga added 20 points for the Bobcats (14-10, 6-5 Big Sky).
MSU went on a 12-2 run early in the second half to go ahead 50-40 with 14:36 remaining. But the Lumberjacks (15-10, 7-5) rallied with a 12-2 run of their own capped by a Josh Wilson layup to take a 54-53 lead with 7:46 remaining.
The lead changed five more times before Mbunga hit a jumper in the paint at 2:47 to put the Bobcats ahead 64-63.
Two free throws by Taylor with 27 seconds remaining gave MSU 70-65 lead. Northern Arizona’s Zach Filzen hit a layup with 16 seconds left, but the Lumberjacks missed two chances at 3-pointers as time expired.
