 MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) -Memphis coach John Calipari says Robert Dozier will play but won't start against Central Florida on Saturday, the second game since a former girlfriend filed a complaint with police.
The forward did not play in the top-ranked Tigers' win over SMU on Wednesday after LaParis Woods told police that Dozier hit her twice on the right side of her face with an open hand, causing minor swelling. No charges have been filed.
Woods told police Dozier followed her by car when she left a Beale Street nightclub in her own vehicle earlier this week. They got into an argument at an intersection.
Dozier is averaging 10.5 points and 7.3 rebounds for the Tigers (22-0, 8-0 Conference USA).
