BOSTON (AP) -Corey Lowe scored 27 points and John Holland had 20 of his 25 in the first half Thursday night, leading Boston University to its seventh straight win, 77-67 over Albany.
BU (13-9, 8-2 America East) also snapped a seven-game losing streak at Agganis Arena, its second home floor, and took a one-game conference lead over Vermont. It’s BU’s first seven-game winning streak since 2004-05.
Albany (13-9, 5-4) got a career-high 28 points and nine rebounds from Will Harris. Brian Connelly added 11 points and 12 rebounds.
The Great Danes used a 10-0 run to get to within 61-58 on a Harris 3-pointer with 5:35 left. But Jake O?Brien hit a 3-pointer 26 seconds later and BU was able to put the game away.
Lowe added seven rebounds and seven assists.
BU turned the ball over just seven times, three nights after committing five turnovers in a win at Maryland-Baltimore County.
