Last week, Duke lost by two points to Wake Forest and the Demon Deacons then fell to Georgia Tech by the same margin.
On Wednesday night, both No. 4 Duke and No. 7 Wake Forest lost again, and it was by the same astounding margin: 27 points.
Trevor Booker scored 21 points and Terrence Oglesby had five 3-pointers in No. 10 Clemson’s 74-47 victory over Duke.
Jack McClinton scored a season-high 32 points to lead Miami to a 79-52 victory over Wake.
“They shouldn’t forget this loss,” Duke coach Mike Krzyzewski said of his team. “This is as bad as you can play.”
The Miami fans poured out of their seats at the final buzzer.
“That was one of the greatest feelings I’ve ever had,” McClinton said. “I’ve never experienced something like that, rushing the court. It was great.”

Clemson (19-2, 5-2) used a 20-8 run over the last 8 minutes of the first half to take a 33-21 lead and the Tigers kept extending the lead until the final buzzer.
“It’s going to be tough to top that,” Booker said. “We just played great. … They quit at the end. We just got the job done.”
Duke had won 22 straight over Clemson – most in blowout fashion – since the Tigers won three straight in the series in the 1994-95 and 1995-96 seasons.
“It was 40 minutes of them dominating,” Krzyzewski said. “They just kicked our butts.”

In Coral Gables, Fla., McClinton scored 14 consecutive points for the Hurricanes (15-7, 4-5 ACC) late in the game to help build their biggest margin of victory ever against a ranked team. He finished 11-for-19, including 6-for-10 from 3-point range, and added three steals.
“McClinton had one of the best performances I’ve seen in the eight years I’ve been in the ACC,” Wake Forest coach Dino Gaudio said.
at then-No. 1 Duke a week earlier.
“Miami played very, very well,” Gaudio said. “They had their backs to the wall and played with a lot of energy and a lot of emotion.”
The Demon Deacons (17-3, 4-3) haven’t won since beating Duke on a final-second shot a week ago. They lost in the final second Saturday at Georgia Tech.
Against Miami’s zone, the Demon Deacons shot a season-low 31.7 percent, including 3-for-20 from 3-point range, and their 52 points were a season low.
