DEKALB, Ill. (AP) -Northern Illinois guards Darion Anderson and Jeremy Landers were reinstated Tuesday, less than a week after they were suspended indefinitely for unspecified violations of team rules.
The school said the lifting of the suspensions was effective immediately and both are scheduled to make this week's trip to Ohio and Buffalo.
The suspensions were announced Saturday, and both players missed that day's 69-61 home loss to Bowling Green.
Coach Ricardo Patton said the issue is over and both players ``understand and respect this program's expectations and standards.''
Anderson has led Northern Illinois (6-13, 2-5) in scoring and rebounding six times this season. The Chicago native was the 2008 Mid-American Conference freshman of the year.
