Chicago State downs NJIT 85-69 Print

 CHICAGO (AP) -David Holston scored 22 points, including four 3-pointers, and John Cantrell added 19 to lead Chicago State to an 85-69 victory over NJIT on Saturday.
Chicago State (12-11) led 43-27 going into half time. NJIT came back from the break to score an even 42-42 second period but it wasn't enough to overcome the team's first period deficit.
Carl Montgomery had 18 points for Chicago State and Mike Wilson came off the bench to contribute 11 points. Tawrence Walton had a game-high 12 rebounds.
Isaiah Wilkerson had 18 points for NJIT. Gary Garris added 17 points, Justin Garris had 13 points and Jheryl Wilson had ten points.
NJIT suffered from 29 turnovers that Chicago State was able to turn into 28 points.
Chicago State shot 42.2 percent for the game from the field, just less than NJIT's 44.2 percent.
