Oklahoma State needs to do a better job against Oklahoma’s Buddy Hield on Saturday, or the Cowboys risk getting swept by their biggest rival.
Hield scored 27 points on 10-for-10 shooting during Oklahoma’s 82-65 win Jan. 17 in Norman.
Hield has been doing similar damage for the 24th-ranked Sooners since conference play began. The junior guard is averaging a league-best 20.6 points per game in Big 12 games. During one stretch, he scored at least 21 points in four straight games, including a career-high 31 against Kansas State.
Oklahoma State allows a league-low 59.5 points per game in league play while holding opponents to 41 percent shooting. The Cowboys come in with confidence after a 64-53 victory over No. 20 Baylor on Tuesday.
