SPOKANE, Wash. (AP) -Patty Mills, the leading scorer for No. 22 Saint Mary’s, left Thursday night’s game against No. 20 Gonzaga late in the first half with a sprained right wrist.
Mills scored 18 points in the first half, matching his season average, as the Gaels took a 39-33 lead.
He left the game with about 3 minutes left in the half after a hard fall, and had his wrist examined on the sideline. Mills tried to take a couple of shots in warmups, did not start the second half and was sitting on the bench with a bag of ice on his right hand.
A school spokesman said it was doubtful Mills would return to the game.
