WICHITA, Kan. (AP) – The woman in charge of the ticket office at the University of Kansas has admitted her part in an alleged conspiracy with her husband and others to scalp athletic tickets.
Former associate athletic director Charlette Blubaugh pleaded guilty in Wichita Thursday to conspiracy and agreed to a forfeiture judgment of $2 million.
Her husband, Thomas, is expected to plead guilty on Friday. He was on the payroll as a consultant from August 2007 until January 2010 at a cost of $115,000.
After his expected plea, only former associate athletic director Ben Kirtland still faces trial.
Former assistant athletic director Rodney Jones and former systems analyst Kassie Liebsch pleaded guilty earlier this month. Two others pleaded guilty last year to knowing about the scam and failing to report it to authorities.
