WASHINGTON (AP) -Georgetown has been a steady climber in the Top 25 all season, even though the Hoyas are relying on five players to carry nearly the entire load.
The 12th-ranked Hoyas have scored 500 points in seven Big East games. Only 24 of those points have come from the bench.
Georgetown improved its record to 14-3 and 5-2 in conference play by stopping Pittsburgh’s 31-game home winning streak Wednesday. The Hoyas host Rutgers on Saturday.
Junior guard Chris Wright says not to worry about all the minutes the starters are playing. He says “it ain’t no time to be worn out” at age 20 or 21.
Said Wright: “We’ll be worn out when we get to 35 (or) 40.”
