 MOON TOWNSHIP, Pa. (AP) - Russell Johnson made 12 of 13 free throws and netted a season-high 22 points as Robert Morris topped Quinnipiac 87-75 in Northeast Conference action Saturday night.
Lucky Jones added 18 points and eight rebounds for the Colonials (12-7, 4-2), who scored 21 points off 17 Bobcats' turnovers and won despite a 30-24 disadvantage in rebounds.
Zaid Hearst paced Quinnipiac (6-12, 2-4) with 16 points, while Evan Conti and Ousmane Drame added 13 and Ike Azotam had 11.
The Bobcats hit 61.9 percent (13 of 21) from the field in the first half, but trailed 41-29 at the intermission due to Robert Morris' 3-point shooting success.
The Colonials hit 7 of 11 from beyond the arc and 57.7 percent (15 of 26) overall in the first half, with Velton Jones scoring 13 of his 14 points on 5-of-6 shooting and Karvel Anderson hitting 3 of 4 3-pointers for nine points.
