RADFORD, Va. (AP) -Joey Lynch-Flohr scored 22 points and Radford defeated North Carolina-Asheville 98-88 in overtime on Saturday night.
The Highlanders (7-9, 4-1 Big South Conference) used a 61.5 percent shooting first half (16-for-26) to jump out to a 44-35 lead at the halftime. But UNC-Asheville outscored the Bulldogs 46-37 in the second half to force overtime.
The Bulldogs (7-9, 3-2) hit just 1 of 8 shots in OT, and were outscored 17-7.
Lynch-Flohr, who was shooting 51 percent heading into Saturday’s game, was 8 of 9 from the field and 6-for-7 from the free-throw line against the Bulldogs.
Radford had five other players in double figures as Amir Johnson scored 18, Kenny Thomas and Artsiom Parakhouski each had 15 points, Eric Hall11 and Chris McEachin 10.
Augst Reid led the Bulldogs with 27 points and Sean Smith added 18.
