HATTIESBURG, Miss. (AP) -Southern Mississippi coach Larry Eustachy will coach the Golden Eagles in their home game against Tulane on Saturday.
Eustachy left the team following Tuesday's 52-41 loss to Central Florida to be with his ailing mother in California. He returned to Hattiesburg on Thursday. He will coach the game Saturday, then return to San Clemente to be with his mother.
Helen Eustachy has cancer and her condition has taken a turn for the worse, according to a school news release.
