NEW YORK (AP) -Jamal Smith scored 17 points to lead Wagner to a 68-60 victory over Central Connecticut State on Thursday night.
Mark Porter and Durell Vinson both had 14 points for the Seahawks (9-4, 2-0 Northeast Conference), while James Ulrich added 11.
Tristan Blackwood had 14 points and Aaron Hall added 13 for the Blue Devils (4-10, 0-3).
Ulrich's three-point play capped Wagner's 9-0 run to open the second half that gave the Seahawks a 41-29 lead with 15:38 to play.
The Blue Devils got as close as 61-58 on a 3 by Blackwood with 2:50 to play, but Joey Mundweiler's 3-pointer capped a quick run that gave Wagner a 67-58 with 58 seconds left.
