Final Four Odds
HOUSTON, TX (TheSpread) – This wasn’t the Final Four many expected to see, but the field is set and oddsmakers have released their odds for which team will win the national championship.
According to oddsmakers from online sportsbook Bodog.com Kentucky is the favorite to emerge with the NCAA title as the Wildcats have 3/2 odds to win while Connecticut and Butler have 2/1 odds and VCU comes in with 4/1 odds.
Kentucky and Connecticut will square off in one contest. Kentucky was the No. 4 seed out of the East and Connecticut was the No. 3 seed out of the West. The Huskies have two NCAA Tournament titles, with the last coming in 2004. Kentucky has won the national title seven times, the last coming in 1998.
Butler and VCU will face off in the other semifinal game. The Bulldogs were the No. 8 seed in the Southeast Region while VCU was the No. 11 seed in the Southwest Region. Butler reached the national championship game last season and finished runner-up. They are the lone team that is still playing that was in last year’s Final Four. Butler has never won the NCAA Tournament. VCU is playing in its first Final Four and it has never won the national title.
