Wake vs. GA Tech Pick
No. 10 Georgia Tech has quietly snuck into the top 10 rankings, and the Yellowjackets hope to keep moving up on Saturday when they host Wake Forest at 3:30PM ET from Bobby Dodd Stadium. Bet Wake Forest at Georgia Tech Wake Forest won the last meeting with Georgia Tech, winning 9-6 in the 2006 ACC Championship. The Demon Deacons are 4-5 on the season and 3-5 against the spread. Wake Forest has lost three straight and is 0-3 on the road this season. The 16-point spread is the largest odds the Yellowjackets have been given this season. The Yellowjackets have hit their stride this season thanks to having the top rushing attack in the country. Josh Nesbitt has rushed for 763 yards and 13 touchdowns while throwing for 1,172 yards and six touchdowns. Jonathan Dwyer has added 904 yards rushing with eight touchdowns. Wake Forest is third to last in the ACC in rushing defense, which plays into Georgia Tech’s hands, but the Yellowjackets have the worst passing defense in the ACC, while the Decons have the second best passing offense. Riley Skinner has thrown for 2,298 yards and 18 touchdowns, but has 10 interceptions. Georgia Tech is our pick to cover this week as despite their weak passing defense, the Yellowjackets should be able to control the game with their powerful running attack. Wake Forest has thrown for a lot of yards, but most has come late in games while trying to play catch up. The odds are a lot to overcome, but we are picking the Yellowjackets to be able to make enough plays at home to continue their winning ways. Look for this game to go under though, as Georgia Tech will look to make a statement on defense. Our College Football Week 10 Free Pick for this matchup is: GEORGIA TECH -16 and UNDER 62.
