Ohio State Season Odds

The Ohio State Buckeyes are once again the favorites to win the Big Ten, but can they stay unscathed the entire season so they can make a run at a national title?

Bet 2010 BCS National Championship Odds

Jim Tressel led OSU to a 10-3 overall record in 2008 and a loss to Texas in the Fiesta Bowl. With sophomore quarterback sensation Terrelle Pryor entering his second full season under center, Tressel and company believe the Buckeyes can be dangerous again in 2009.

Pryor led Ohio State in passing yards with 1,311 and rushing yards with 631. He’s a true dual threat, but he won’t have running back Chris “Beanie” Wells in the backfield, nor wide receiver Brian Robiskie to throw to. However, Boom Herron is ready to take over for Wells and Dane Sanzenbacher is ready to step up at receiver.

Defensively, OSU lost a ton of talent as Malcolm Jenkins, James Laurinaitis and Marcus Freeman all entered the NFL. But the program will welcome safety Kurt Coleman and defensive end Thaddeus Gibson back, as well as defensive linemen Cameron Heyward and Doug Worthington.

Oddsmakers from online sports book Sports Interaction have given Ohio State 11/1 odds to win the 2010 BCS National Championship. The Buckeyes should roll through the Big Ten again this season, although Penn State will once again be a challenge. The only problem is that they’ll probably have to go undefeated to make a title appearance seeing as how teams in the SEC and even the Big 12 will likely have tougher schedules.

Pryor is the real deal and will give the Buckeyes a chance to win every Saturday. If you think OSU will go undefeated this season, then jump on the 11/1 odds because the Buckeyes defense will once again be stout and this could be a dangerous team if they can get to the title game.
