Tulsa at Oklahoma

Already with one loss to its credit, No. 12 Oklahoma can’t afford another, but a dangerous Tulsa team awaits the Sooners Saturday at 3:30PM from Oklahoma Memorial Stadium.

Landry Jones gets his second start for the Sooners after throwing for 286 yards and three touchdowns in last weekend’s 64-0 win over Idaho State. Jones hit Ryan Broyles seven times for 155 yards and all three touchdowns in the game. The Sooners racked up 564 yards of offense and held Idaho State to just 44 as a defense, including -22 yards rushing. DeMarco Murray rushed for over 100 yards on his own, while Jonathan Miller had 88 yards and a score on the ground.

Oklahoma will have its hands full with the Tulsa offense, which has racked up 81 points in two games. The Golden Hurricanes are coming off a 44-10 win over New Mexico where it racked up 489 yards of offense. G.J. Kinne threw for 310 yards and four touchdowns in the win while Damaris Johnson caught four passes for 101 yards. Defensively, Tulsa held the Lobos to 171 yards and in the 37-13 season-opening win over Tulane, Tulsa held the Green Wave to just 39 yards rushing as a team. Tulsa has won 10 or more games in the last two seasons and is looking to avenge a 62-21 loss to the Sooners in 2007.

Oddsmakers from online sports book Sports Interaction have made Oklahoma 16.5-point home favorites over Tulsa on Saturday afternoon. The over/under total for this game has been established at 57.
