West Virginia and Louisville in Big East Showdown

Two of the six remaining unbeaten teams in college football battle in what many are calling the greatest game in the history of Thursday Night Football. In what could decide who plays the Ohio State-Michigan winner, the 7-0, 3rd ranked West Virginia Mountaineers visit the 7-0, 5th ranked Louisville Cardinals as 1.5 point underdogs.

Even though both defenses are allowing less than 14 points per game, something is due to give as there are only three teams in the entire country averaging over seven yards per play: Hawaii at 7.99, Louisville at 7.41 and West Virginia at 7.26.

Boise State's chance at a BCS berth won't likely increase with a victory over Fresno State on Wednesday, but another loss to the Bulldogs would quickly squash that goal.

The 14th-ranked Broncos look to avenge last season's defeat to Fresno State when they host the struggling Bulldogs in a WAC matchup.

Boise State (8-0, 4-0) has cruised through its favorable schedule this season, but a lack of tough opponents means the Broncos need to win every game in convincing fashion.

Texas quarterback Colt McCoy was raised on Texas Tech football, but never got to see the Longhorns take on the Red Raiders in person. The freshman's first experience with the rivalry will give him a chance to do more than just watch.

Fifth-ranked Texas (7-1, 4-0) looks to remain in sole possession of first place in the Big 12 South Division when it visits Lubbock to take on Texas Tech (5-3, 2-2) on Saturday night.

Ohio State is headed for a Big Ten showdown that could put it in the national championship game. The top-ranked Buckeyes, though, know they have plenty of work to do before that happens.

The Buckeyes (8-0, 4-0) look to extend the longest winning streak in the country when they host struggling Minnesota (3-5, 0-4) on Saturday.

Ohio State has won its last 15 games, including Saturday's 44-3 rout of Indiana.

Ranked Team Battle; #19 Oklahoma at #23 Missouri

Without its best offensive player, Oklahoma hopes its defense can step up.

Missing arguably its top defensive player, Missouri needs its offense to keep coming up big.

The 19th-ranked Sooners hope their rejuvenated defense continues making up for the absence of Adrian Peterson in a Big 12 matchup Saturday with the high-powered offense of the No. 23 Tigers, who won't have sack specialist Brian Smith.
