UNC Takes on Cougars

In a perfect world, Roy Williams never would see his North Carolina team stop running.

The Tar Heels would sprint out in transition on every possession. They'd push the ball ahead for get-you-right-back baskets to answer scores. And, by the end, their offense would leave demoralized opponents struggling to catch their breath.

Texas Slips Past Miami

After 75 minutes of smooth shooting, poised ball-handling and a quiet crowd of Longhorn-haters in Arkansas, Texas nearly let its entire season slip away.

A.J. Abrams made two free throws with 9.5 seconds remaining, giving the second-seeded Longhorns just enough margin to hold off seventh-seeded Miami 75-72 in the second round of the South Regional on Sunday. Texas led by as many as 17 and was ahead 66-50 with 4:15 remaining before a dramatic rally by the Hurricanes.

Stephen Curry looked tired. His soft, feathery shot was clanging off the rim. The slender, baby-faced sophomore seemed to be just another in a long line of stars bottled up by Georgetown's ferocious defense.

Davidson's run was certainly over. A good season was coming to a fitting end against one of college basketball's elite programs.

Tarheels Face Razorbacks

Ty Lawson sat down in the North Carolina locker room and began untying the black brace wrapped snugly around his left ankle. After he removed it, he propped his foot on a chair and a trainer wrapped an icebag around it.

More than a month has passed since Lawson suffered one of the most publicized ankle sprains in the program's storied history, and the injury robbed the Tar Heels of the fleet-footed point guard who powers their fast-paced transition offense.
