UT Tries to Rebound

Texas has accomplished a lot in the first six weeks of the college basketball season, boasting two wins over top 10 teams and two of the Big 12's top three scorers. Now they'll get their first chance to rebound following a tough loss.
The ninth-ranked Longhorns (11-1) will try to bounce back Saturday at home when they take on a second straight quality Big Ten opponent, Wisconsin. |

Championship Rematch

The jerseys will still say Florida and Ohio State on the front and it's still basketball, five to a side.
But Saturday's rematch between the Gators and Buckeyes is as far away from their showdown in last year's national championship game as an NBA player's salary is from a college kid's meager checking account. |

UNC Takes on Santa Barbara

The last time Tyler Hansbrough faced UC Santa Barbara, he notched his first collegiate double-double in just his third game at North Carolina. There would be plenty more to come.
When Hansbrough and the top-ranked Tar Heels host the Gauchos Saturday at the Smith Center, the preseason All-American will be looking for the 23rd double-double of his career. |

One Crazy Matchup

Memphis guard Antonio Anderson got an indication of how big the Tigers' next game is when he stopped at a gas station to fill up his tank.
``Two guys ran up to me and said, 'We can't wait for the game. You guys got to beat Georgetown.' Everybody's talking about it,'' Anderson said Thursday. ``Things are a little crazy around here for this game.''
Memphis coach John Calipari did his best to toughen up his Tigers' nonconference schedule. But with the Tigers ranked second and Georgetown fifth, Saturday's game at the FedExForum brings the added baggage of history with it. |
