WASHINGTON (AP) -Ben Wallace sat out the Chicago Bulls' game against the Washington Wizards on Wednesday night because of a sore left foot.
It's the first game he has missed this season, although Wallace and coach Scott Skiles said the foot has been a problem for a while.
``I've got bone spurs on the top of my foot,'' Wallace said. ``It bothered me last night more than any other time.''
He had two points and five rebounds in Chicago's 103-91 home loss to the Los Angeles Lakers on Tuesday night.
``It flared up on him during the game and postgame last night,'' Skiles said.
Wallace said he had an MRI exam Wednesday that showed he does not have a stress fracture in the foot.
Skiles expects Wallace to skip practice Thursday, but neither was sure how long the player will be out.
``Not sure. Just got to play it by ear,'' Wallace said. ``Day to day.''
