CHICAGO (AP) – New York forward Carmelo Anthony will sit out the Knicks’ game Thursday night against the Chicago Bulls because of a sore left knee.
Anthony is averaging 23.4 points in 24 games for the Knicks.
New York also was without Andrea Bargnani, Cleanthony Early, Iman Shumpert and J.R. Smith. Amare Stoudemire was expected to miss the game for a recovery day, but will play.
Travis Wear took Anthony’s spot in the starting lineup.
