ATLANTA (AP) - Denver Nuggets center Kosta Koufos has the flu and is not with the team for Wednesday night's game against the Atlanta Hawks.
Coach George Karl says Koufos traveled with the team to Atlanta and remained at the team hotel. Koufos started each of the Nuggets' first 18 games.
Timofey Mozgov is listed as the fill-in starter at center against the Hawks. Mozgov, a third-year player from Russia, is making his first start of the season. He is averaging 3.1 points and 3.3 rebounds.
