CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) -Philadelphia 76ers guard Jrue Holiday has a strained right rotator cuff and won’t play against Charlotte.
Coach Eddie Jordan said Holiday was injured in practice Friday when he blocked teammate Willie Green’s dunk attempt. Holiday had an MRI before Saturday’s game and Jordan said he is day-to-day.
The youngest player in the NBA, the 19-year-old Holiday had started the past five games since Louis Williams broke his jaw. He had a career-high 15 points in Wednesday’s loss at Oklahoma City.
Jordan moved Andre Iguodala into the backcourt and inserted Elton Brand in the starting lineup against the Bobcats. Brand had come off the bench the past two games after returning from a hamstring injury.
