STONY BROOK, N.Y. (AP) -Ricky Lucas had a game-high 19 points, and Stony Brook snapped a seven-game winless skid with a 70-43 rout of Dartmouth on Saturday. Mitchell Beauford had 15 points for the Seawolves (1-7), who had a 30-15 lead at halftime. Demetrius Young added 12 points and a game-high 14 rebounds. Alex Barnett, with 14 points, was the only Big Green (3-4) player to reach double figures. Barnett's jumper pulled the Ivy Leaguers to 15-10, then Young hit two baskets in a run that made it 24-10 at 7:46 of the first half. The Seawolves outscored the Big Green 10-2 to start the second half and led 40-17 at the 16:15 mark. Lucas and Emanuel Neto each had a pair of jumpers in the run. |
