DENVER (AP) -The Denver Nuggets waived veteran guard Mike Wilks Wednesday.
The 5-foot-10 Wilks averaged three points and 1.5 rebounds in eight games this season.
Denver signed Wilks on Oct. 27 to help out at guard after Anthony Carter broke his hand and Chucky Atkins suffered a severe groin strain.
Wilks strained his right hamstring Nov. 4 in the Nugget's 93-88 loss to the Hornets.
