INDIANAPOLIS (AP) -Indiana Pacers forward Jermaine O'Neal will miss his third straight game when he sits out Sunday against the Cleveland Cavaliers with swelling in his left knee and lower leg.
The timetable for the six-time All-Star's return is uncertain. He is listed as day-to-day.
It will be the 86th regular-season game he has missed in just over three seasons.
O'Neal had offseason surgery to repair a torn meniscus in his left knee that hobbled him during the final two months of last season.
He hurt the knee again on Oct. 8 during a practice, and later hyperextended it.
He's averaging 13.2 points and 7.1 rebounds.
