CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) -Charlotte center Primoz Brezec is questionable for Monday’s game against Portland because he needed four stitches near his left eye after colliding with an assistant coach in practice.
The 7-foot-1 Brezec and Paul Mokeski bumped heads while working on a drill Sunday, the team said. His eye was nearly swollen shut during Monday’s shootaround.
Coach Sam Vincent said Ryan Hollins would start if Brezec can’t play.
Brezec, who started all nine games for Charlotte (5-4), is averaging 2.0 points, 1.9 rebounds and 13.2 minutes.
The 7-foot Mokeski, who spent 12 seasons in the NBA, was uninjured.
