HOUSTON (AP) -The Houston Rockets reassigned sharp-shooting forward Steve Novak to Rio Grande, the team's affiliate in the developmental league.
The 6-foot-10 Novak has been inactive in Houston's first six games this season. He was expected to report to Rio Grande by Monday, and will remain on the Rockets' 15-man roster.
Novak appeared in 35 games in 2006-07, his rookie season. He averaged 1.5 points and 0.7 rebounds and went 13-for-39 from 3-point range.
