EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. (AP) – The New Jersey Nets have exercised the contract options on center Brook Lopez and swingman Terrence Williams for next season.
General manager Billy King said Tuesday the Nets picked up the fourth-year option on Lopez’s deal and the third-year option for Williams.
Lopez will earn $3.0 million in 2011-12, while Williams will get $2.3 million.
The 10th pick overall in 2008, Lopez averaged team-highs with 18.8 points, 8.6 rebounds and 1.70 blocks last season.
Williams, the 11th choice overall in 2009, averaged 8.4 points 4.5 rebounds and 2.9 assists as a rookie.
