INDEPENDENCE, Ohio (AP) -Cavaliers guard Delonte West returned to practice after missing one week to attend to personal issues.
West took part in the team’s workout on Tuesday at Cleveland Clinic Courts. He was excused last week by the Cavaliers, who wanted to give him time to deal with legal and medical issues.
West has been treated in the past for bipolar disorder. He was arrested in Maryland last month on misdemeanor weapons possession charges.
He skipped Cleveland’s first four practices in training camp without an excuse.
West had been expected to play in the Cavs’ exhibition opener on Oct. 6 but left with the club’s permission. There is no set timetable on when he’ll be back on the floor.
