MADRID (AP) -The Utah Jazz will be looking to get the NBA back on level terms against Spanish opposition when they face Real Madrid in a preseason game.
NBA teams haven’t had much luck on Spanish soil since 2007, winning one game and losing two.
Jazz guard Deron Williams said: “It’s definitely a pride thing – when you have an NBA team coming in you want to show you can play in front of your home crowd.”
The Jazz are coming off a loss to the Chicago Bulls in London on Tuesday and, although Williams said he only knew one player on Madrid’s roster, there was no lack of motivation to rebound in Spain.
