PHOENIX (AP) – The Phoenix Suns signed guard/forward James Nunnally on Saturday.
The 23-year-old Nunnally averaged 13.0 points and shot 57.7 percent from the field and 63.0 percent from 3-point range for the Miami Heat in the Las Vegas Summer League. In a game against the Suns in Las Vegas, he scored 21 of his 24 points in the second half and was 5 of 6 on 3-pointers.
Last season, the 6-foot-7 Nunnally played for the Suns’ D-League affiliate in Bakersfield, averaging 10.3 points. In four seasons at UC Santa Barbara, he averaged 13.7 points and 5.2 rebounds.
The Suns have 18 players on their roster.
