DEERFIELD, Ill. (AP) – A busy offseason is finally over the Chicago Bulls, who have several new players, a new coaching staff and a belief that it’s all going to work out fine.
Chicago went after LeBron James, Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh. They decided to former a superstar trio in Miami, and the Bulls instead landed two-time All-Star forward Carlos Boozer, sharpshooter Kyle Korver and guard Ronnie Brewer, who all played together in Utah.
Boozer said Monday the team includes great people and not just great players.
The Bulls have been mentioned in trade rumors surrounding Denver’s Carmelo Anthony, and have starting center Joakim Noah facing an Oct. 31 deadline to sign a contract extension. He is due $3.1 million next season in the fourth year of his rookie contract.
Noah is coming off a breakout season in which he averaged 10.7 points and 11.0 rebounds per game.
