MANKATO, Minn. (AP) -Minnesota Timberwolves owner Glen Taylor says he expects a decision on the team’s next head coach to come fairly soon.
After visiting Minnesota Vikings training camp in his hometown on Sunday, the Mankato businessman told The Associated Press that new vice president David Kahn has not made a decision yet, “but I think we’re close to doing that.”
Kahn decided not to bring Kevin McHale back as coach after meeting several times with him earlier this summer. The Timberwolves are the only team in the league without a head coach.
Kahn has whittled his initial list of candidates down to three – ESPN analyst Mark Jackson, Los Angeles Lakers assistant Kurt Rambis and Houston assistant Elston Turner.
