Dwyane Wade has re-signed with the Miami Heat.
A person familiar with the situation says the contract is for two years, with the second of those seasons a player option. The person spoke to The Associated Press on condition of anonymity because neither side announced terms of the deal.
Heat President Pat Riley said Tuesday that Wade ''has always been willing to sacrifice in order to help build this team into a champion. This time is no different.''
Wade opted out of a contract that would have paid him about $42 million over the next two seasons.
