HOUSTON (AP) -Argentine star Luis Scola has reached an agreement in principal with the Houston Rockets, his agent said Friday.
Scola will sign a contract Saturday, agent George Bass wrote in an e-mail to The Associated Press.
The Rockets obtained the rights to Scola and center Jackie Butler by trading a 2009 second-round draft pick, cash and guard Vassilis Spanoulis to San Antonio.
Scola averaged about 16 points and 4.5 rebounds per game last season for the Spanish team Tau Ceramica.
