 CLEVELAND (AP) -The Cleveland Cavaliers signed first-round draft pick J.J. Hickson on Thursday.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed. Cleveland selected the 19-year-old Hickson with the 19th pick in the NBA draft.
The 6-foot-9 forward played just one season at North Carolina State before turning pro.
Hickson earned ACC All-Freshman Team honors and was honorable mention All-ACC after averaging 14.8 points with a conference-best .591 shooting percentage and 8.5 rebounds per game.
He led all ACC freshmen in scoring and rebounding.
